Pretty things and things like that…

On our way to take in the amazing sight that is the Space Needle, we past the Olympic Sculpture garden, which was a wonderful park with an amazing view of the bay as well as some crazy and artistic pieces of art work.

Then up the hill, ugh! And across a view streets and we are standing in front of the famous Space Needle, memories of men in black flash in front of my eyes, and I’m half waiting from a UFO to land on the spire. It truly is an amazing landmark, and one that Seattle should be proud of (along with the first Starbucks, which we did visit) and a beautiful waterfront.

Once we arrived back at the hostel, the staff were very happy to see we had “survived” the bike ride, the flat tire and the extremely steep hill of Seattle. Matt had even left us a voucher at a cute, coffee shop down the road for all the bike trouble, so after enjoying a real fruit smoothie, we headed back to the hostel to pack before heading to the airport, before we headed to Las Vegas…sin city…
