Breakfast and a bike ride…

After a lovely breakfast of toast and chai tea we rented bikes from the hostel and started our adventure to Pike Market place. Which is not too far away from the hostel, unfortunately it is down the steepest hill ever, so we opted to walk our bikes down the hill (I suppose we looked more like we were running after our bikes down a hill, judging by the expression of the Hispanic man that was watching us.)

Pike Place market was wonderful. I really enjoyed walking around and seeing the quaint little shops, the fish market and of course seeing the beautiful skyline (over the water.) The most important lesson I learnt today was, bringing sun glasses to ride around the entire day is a very good idea.

Next we were planning on heading towards Pioneer Square, unfortunately Nina managed to get a flat tire, so now we had to take to detour to a bike shop close by and have it patched before we could continue our great Washington adventure.
