I have always seen the cable cars in movies featuring San Francisco, and have always wanted to ride one…well finally on this amazing road trip of mine…I got to do it! We waited in a ridiculously long queue, in order to take a ride, next to us was what looks like the entrance to a subway, turns out…

See the cable car ? :) |
It’s a public restroom! So you walk in (only one person at a time) and the door automatically closes behind you, there was a sign posted on the door saying that the door automatically opens after 20 minutes. Once you leave the restroom, it self cleans…WOW! Crazy technology I tell you!

By the way this is Fisherman's wharf |
While waiting in line many of the people around us were discussing the new age bathroom, one in particular a 4 year old named Quinton who told me the bathroom shoots boys out the ceiling and makes them superheroes…so now we have to talk to this boy, he is funny! And we needed some time wasting entertainment. Quinton also asked us if we wanted to come visit him at his house, his parents were close by and joined in our conversation.

When we finally boarded the cable car, the conductor offered to take pictures for everyone. Then we were on our way, up and down the hills that make up the Hyde Street cable car track. Half way into our journey Quinton asked the conductor if he could make it go real fast, like a rollercoaster. He response was, “well my boss doesn’t really like me too, but that’s okay” and he went full steam ahead up and down, then slowed down a little, it was a real rush.

Beautiful buildings in San Fran, CA |
We hopped off at Union Square, and walked up through Chinatown and then onto Lombard Street. Yes, the most crooked street in the world. We didn’t drive down it, but we did get to walk to and watch a couple of cars that were pretending they were race car drivers racing through the twists and turns.

Then we had a long trek home after that, but after the fun filled packed day we felt like it had all been worth it!
