Wimpy - is the brand name of a chain of fast-food hamburger restaurants based in the UK, but also found in South Africa
Sinucon - is medication taken to treat symptoms of common cold, hay fever and allergies
Fetch - is the word I use when asking someone for "a ride/lift" apparently this is very funny to most Americans
Safa - slang for a South African
Biltong - is a kind of cured meat from South Africa. It is made from meat such as beef, ostrich, kudu etc. It is similar to but much better than jerky. The word biltong is from the Dutch bil "rump" and tong "strip"
Gas - known by South Africans as petrol
Ampt - really excited
Nandos - is a casual dining restaurant franchise that originated in South Africa that has a Portuguese/Mozambican theme.
Hunters Dry - is a basically alcoholic apple juice.
Black Label - is a beer sold in South Africa (and apparently Canada too) according to Wikipedia is it 'the best selling beer in South Africa'
Braai - is Afrikaans (a language spoken in South Africa which is derived from Dutch) for barbecue but is used by all South Africans, regardless of their mother tongue.
Savannah - is a dry cider, brewed in South Africa from Granny Smith apples
Pap - a traditonal type of porridge similar to 'grits'
En - and *in Afrikaans*
Wors - is short for boerewors which is the traditional South African sausage, it is sometimes called 'farmers sausage'. It is traditionally coriander-seed spiced.
'n Boer maak 'n plan - literally translated means a farmer makes a plan. Meaning if there's a will there's a way.
OBS - Old Brown Sherry, usually drank on cold nights to keep warm
Robots - are what South Africans commonly refer to traffic lights as (weird I don't, but don't judge!)
Load Shedding - is an intentionally- engineered electrical power outage where electricity is stopped for non-overlapping periods of time over geographical regions (in other words when they turn the power off in certain areas while you are trying to either cook dinner or watch a very important show)
Slops - aka Flip flops, flops or beach sandals
Aromat - is a general purpose seasoning produced in Switzerland, but predominately in Europe and South Africa.
Droe Wors -is a popular South African snack made by drying Boerewors sausage.
Koeksister - is a South African syrup-coated doughnut in a twisted or braided shape. It is prepared by deep-frying dough in oil, then dipping the fried dough into cold syrup.

Sokkie - is a style of music and dance unique to Southern Africa and popular mostly with Afrikaners.
Pansy shells - aka referred to as sand dollars (usually in the USA) or sea cookies (usually in New Zealand)
Onesies - also called a baby grow, the one piece outfits that babies usually wear.

Ululating -  Howl or wail as an expression of strong emotion, typically grief
HELELE-ING - I think this is the best way to describe the ululating sound
Toasted sandwiches - kinda like grilled cheese
Pep - a store in South Africa
Voortrekker monument - is located just south of Pretoria in South Africa. This massive granite structure is prominently located on a hilltop, and was raised to commemorate the Voortrekkers who left the Cape Colony between 1835 and 1854. (according to Wikipedia)
